Earth Day 2011 – Go Green!

Earth Day 2011Whether you’re an RVer or a tent camper, keeping the outdoors beautiful is an important part of your camping experience. On April 22, celebrate your home on the road, with Earth Day 2011. How can you do your part on going green?

  1. Leave the wilderness as you found it!
  2. Unplug and spend your time in nature by hiking, swimming, exploring, reading, or playing board games.
  3. Save gas! Plan your drives in advance, run all your errands at one time, accelerate slower.
  4. Purchase eco-friendly and biodegradable camping gear and picnic supplies.
  5. Use citronella candles instead of insect repellent.
  6. Use environmentally friendly RV products, such as Nature-Zyme, which promote organic and biodegradable ingredients (visit www.nature-zyme.com).

Do your part to make our world greener and make sure to celebrate Earth Day!

What’s Cooking in the Campfire Kitchen

Tin Foil Chicken
Two chicken thighs, sliced potato, sliced onion, sliced carrots, teaspoon onion soup mix, salt & pepper to taste. Wrap in foil twice. Make one package per person. Place package on grill, gas or charcoal for approx 1 hour. Turn every 15 minutes. Easy and really good!
