Now that the weather is warming up, work on your mental and physical health by taking a stroll around the preserve. Many of our preserves offer walking and hiking trails and have organized group walking events. Check with your Activity Center for group opportunities. For example, Gateway to Cape Cod offers the Walk the Trails program – giving everyone a chance to be social while health conscious.

How Does Your Garden Grow

Getting ready to start gardening? Save your old tea leaves and biodegradable tea bags for your plants. It serves as a healthy fertilizer for flowering plants and is a perfect way to go green. Also, add a tablespoon of powdered milk to the soil around your fruit or flower plants. Milk acts as a fungus and virus fighter in the garden and helps your plants stay healthy!
