Even More Expanded Site Opportunities
East and West Coast Expanded Usage Programs
New England, Pennsylvania, North Carolina & Oregon

More good news for Thousand Trails, Outdoor World and Mid Atlantic members continues and now provides additional superb locations.

The 2008 Camping Season will introduce a special opportunity for members who have access to the Hershey Preserve, to now also have camping and rental access to the popular Spring Gulch Resort in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Members who have access to the Moody Beach Resort, will now also have access to two popular New England locations, Patton Pond Resort and Tuxbury Pond RV Resort, located in Ellsworth, Maine and South Hampton, NH, respectively. And Mid Atlantic members who have access to Rondout Valley will now have access to the popular Adirondack location at the Lake George Escape Camping Resort in Lake George, New York. We’ve also added locations in North Carolina and an additional Oregon resort for those members who have membership access to Pacific City or Seaside resorts in Oregon.

The 2008 Camping Season will offer special opportunities for members who have Thousand Trails, NACO, Leisure Time, Outdoor World and Mid Atlantic memberships, to access these popular locations. All members will have access to the popular Goose Creek and Twin Lakes Resorts in North Carolina, and memberships that have access to Pacific City or Seaside may use the magnificent Mt. Hood Resort in Oregon. Once again, our arrangement with ELS gives our system members these newly added destinations for 2008, as they travel in these parts of the country. All three of these parks are popular vacation spots for families, couples and singles who want to explore these popular destination areas of our nation.

Spring Gulch Resort is located in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and is more than just a resort campground. It offers a vacation experience that includes the widest selections of activities and amenities that you can ever imagine. A spring fed swimming lake and two Olympic size-heated pools are just a sampling of the facilities that you will find at Spring Gulch.

Lake George Escape Camping Resort is surrounded by the six million acre Adirondack Park and 1 mile of Schroon River waterfront access. This extraordinary resort is not only situated in one of the most “perfect” destination areas, but offers campground amenities and activities that will make memories for a lifetime.

The Patten Pond Camping Resort is one of Maine’s best kept secrets for those campers who plan to explore the Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park areas. Patten Pond is more than just a small “fishing hole”!!!! This 749 acre fresh water lake offers a private beach, swimming and boating, in addition to the wide array of other local attractions in the area.

Tuxbury Pond RV Resort is an excellent camping choice for those travelers who would like to stay closer to the Boston and coastal Atlantic areas. Located in the midst of the New Hampshire Seacoast Camping Region, Tuxbury Pond RV Resort is a short drive to the Hampton Beaches or the popular Maine Shopping outlets .Amenities and activities abound throughout the summer season and campers are close to some of the finest seafood dining of the New England area.

Twin Lakes Resort Campground is a beautiful campground that is located between the Pamlico River and the Chocowinity Bay in eastern North Carolina The family atmosphere and wide selection of amenities and activities makes every visit a special vacation experience. Bald Head Island offers nearby golfing that is well known in North Carolina and fishing is always great in the campground lakes..

Goose Creek Resort Family Campground is our second popular North Carolina resort destination, located on Bogue Sound, adjacent to the Intercoastal Waterway. The serene and peaceful atmosphere of Goose Creek enhances one of the last undisturbed beaches in this area of the Atlantic Coast. Family members will relish their vacation memories and want to plan future trips to this popular resort.

Mt. Hood Resort- The Village is one of the premier RV Parks in the Northwest. Mt. Hood Village is located on 114 acres of lush forest and boasts direct access to the popular Salmon River. Located just 40 miles east of Portland, the resort offers a variety of great rental accommodations, as well as activities that include golf, tennis, mountain biking, hiking and year round skiing. The beautiful indoor pool complex makes Mt.Hood.a fantastic resort location for all ages

With the addition of these ELS locations for our members to use we have been able to set aside sites at Hershey, Moody Beach and Rondout for those members who would like to take part in the Extended Stay Program. Please contact one of those locations for more details. Also, with the addition of these ELS locations for our members to use, we are allowing all Privileged Access members to have access. (Single Preserve Members also) Please contact one of those locations for more details.

Here are several important details about how the program can work for you:

  • There is a $3.00 per day Resort Fee that will be collected from the members at any of these locations.
  • Any Thousand Trails, NACO or Leisure Time member who has access to Hershey may make reservations for Spring Gulch.
  • Any Thousand Trails, NACO or Leisure Time member who has access to Pacfic City or Seaside may make reservations for Mt. Hood. Stays are limited to 14 days.
  • Any Outdoor World member who has access to Moody Beach may make reservations at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort or Patten Pond RV Resorts.
  • Any Mid-Atlantic members who have access to Rondout Valley may make reservations at Lake George.
  • Members must have a reservation to use these sites.
  • Reservations can be made on STARS, on the web or through a Thousand Trails reservation agent.
  • Members who use Patten Pond or Tuxbury Resorts will be required to use these locations as an extension of Moody Beach. In other words a stay at Patten Pond or Tuxbury will be counted as a stay at Moody Beach subject to all Outdoor World usage restrictions.
  • Members who use Spring Gulch will be required to use this location as an extension of Hershey. A stay at Spring Gulch will be counted as a stay at Hershey subject to all Thousand Trails usage restrictions including High Use rules.
  • Generally, the rules for using these new locations are the same as for using any other preserve; however, Mid Atlantic members will be allowed to use Lake George Camping Resort for a maximum of 7 days.
  • Members who wish to extend their stay at one of these ELS locations will have to make a reservation for that extended stay through ELS and are subject to their fees and requirements. The reservation number for ELS is 1-800-458-6086.
