Throughout our camping system, we offer several different types of rental units to serve our members and guests.

RVing in style is what we're all about! Bring your motorhome or travel trailer and enjoy beautiful, spacious campsites that are outfitted with electric and water hookups, a picnic table and barbecue grill. Many campgrounds also offer full hookups with sewer and cable service, 50 amp electrical service, graveled sites and pull thru access*. All Thousand Trails campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis so make plans to arrive early to select your perfect site. *RV site features vary by campground.
Bring your tent and enjoy the view of the stars and the soothing sounds of nature. Our campgrounds feature a variety of campsites, ranging from primitive tent camping to sites with water and electrical service. Many campgrounds also offer picnic tables, barbecue grills and fire pits at their tent sites*. Plus, our clean restrooms and showers are located nearby for your convenience. We are dedicated to providing a comfortable and memorable experience for all of our guests. *Tent site features vary by campground.
Cozy and attractively furnished, our cabins sleep up to 6 people. They offer clean, open floor plans that feature full bathrooms, TVs, dinettes, kitchenettes equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, coffee maker, and a toaster or toaster oven. Outside, enjoy sitting on the cozy front porch, many of which also have a gas grill!
Standard Cabin: Sleeps 4 adults, queen-size bed, a sofa bed or futon.
Large Cabin: Sleeps 6 adults, double beds, queen-size sofa bed, bunk bed, and a deck.
Deluxe Cabin: Sleeps 6 adults similar to the large cabin, but with additional amenities. Most deluxe cabins include a microwave and linen.
Our cottages are large, well-equipped accommodations, just the right option when you want the comforts of home set in the beauty of nature. Cottages sleep up to 6 adults comfortably. Some offer a bunk bed (double on the bottom/single on the top) and a futon or sleeper sofa in a single large living area. Others have a separate bedroom and a sleep-sofa or futon.
The full-size kitchen has a refrigerator, gas range, microwave oven, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. They do not have a standard oven. Our cottages have full baths and direct-satellite television.
Outside, enjoy sitting on the cozy front porch, many of which also feature a gas grill. Even better, they are grouped together like a small community located in their own distinct area of our camping preserves. Please note, these cottages are not handicapped accessible.
Our travel trailers are situated on beautiful, spacious campsites. All sites are conveniently outfitted with electricity and water, a picnic table and grill. Travel trailers sleep up to 6 and feature full kitchens and baths. Sleeping accommodations vary, but generally our travel trailers offer a combination of queen size beds, full size beds, single or full size sleeper sofas, and bunk beds.
Optional furnishings include basic cookware, 4-person dinnerware set, and linens. Some trailers are pet friendly. Check with preserve regarding amenity availability.
This is our most unique rental accommodation. Yurts are large, dome-shaped, circular tent-styled structures. But, these aren't old-fashioned tents with thin shells and wobbly poles. Our yurts sleep up to 6 people and feature strong canvas walls and weather-proof roofs with skylights. Plus, they have all the luxuries of home.
Yurts include either two double futons and one set of bunk beds or one double futon and two sets of bunk beds. Linen packages, which can be provided for a small fee, include bedding, bath and kitchen towels. Our yurts also have a private restroom with a shower.
A functional kitchenette includes a stovetop and microwave (no oven), upright refrigerator with small freezer, and a dining table. Also included are an electric coffeepot, a toaster, hand soap, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cups, glasses, dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
Outside you'll find a picnic table and barbecue grill. Camping in a yurt is a lot of fun...the feel of the outdoors with the easy comforts of your home.
Other amenities: Satellite TV/VCR, propane fireplace, gas barbecue on outside deck. Linens are available at $12 full/queen and $8 twin per stay. Pets are not allowed.
Bring your whole family on an adventurous trip to experience our creative and fun rentals found nowhere else. Adults and kids alike will love our covered wagons and western village cabins at Rancho Oso (Santa Barbara, California).
Our covered wagons sleep 4 on cots. Bring your own bedding and use the wagon like a tent with a solid floor and sturdy cots. The wagons encircle a fire pit and barbecue area with plenty of room for individual food preparation and campfire activities. Electrical outlets are in each wagon.
Western Village Cabins
These cabins sleep up to 4 and each is equipped with a double bed and a bunk unit with 2 single beds. All beds are made up with sheets, blankets, pillows and spreads. Please bring your own towels. Cabins also have heat, ceiling fans, mini-refrigerator and coffee maker. Restrooms are less that 60 feet from your cabin and have showers with hot water. Go skiing at Snowflower (North California) and stay in our Hostels (also at Yosemite Lakes). While fishing at Runaway Bay, use our A-frame Cabins at Bay Landing (Bridgeport, TX). We offer the most in rental accommodations to genuinely experience the great outdoors, in style.
