Our Orlando preserve is now home to a community garden that will eventually bear the fruit of the labors of many. The farm was officially opened in mid-December when the preserve hosted a Grand Opening party that was attended by more than 400 people.
Centrally located, the garden has its own picnic area and according to Manager Beth-Ann McCourt, the green space creates "an oasis of calm and serenity within the hustle and bustle of the preserve."
The initial plantings were donated by ELS and now it's up to the green thumbs of the volunteer gardeners at Orlando to nurture, weed and harvest this ground-breaking project to success.
"We run a resort, but people make their own memories," said Regional Manager Gena May." I think the Grand Opening event and this new amenity will continue to bring smiles to everyone who participate in the progress and success of the garden."Explore Campground »
