Preserve Description
Situated on the Verde River, this 300-acre oasis in the high desert of Arizona is surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Red Rocks to the north, Mingus Mountains to the west and the Hackberry Mountains to the south. The climate is moderate year-round. Rich in geological and cultural history, the area provides hours of exploring and sight-seeing -- from the famous ghost town of Jerome to scenic drives through Sedona, ablaze with many colors.

PRESERVE NOTICES
We offer only 30-amp electrical service at this preserve. We do not have any 50-amp service available, so please plan accordingly.
The highway billboard sign on Hwy 260 has been removed due to highway restrictions. Please watch for the mile markers. We are located between mile markers 211 and 212. The blue "Thousand Trails Road" signs will guide you to the entrance, if you need assistance finding us while traveling, call the ranger station: 928-567-9562.
Attention Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Enthusiasts
Verde Valley preserve is located within minutes of a 2000-acre OHV day use riding area. There is a $3 fee that supports the site, which also includes restrooms and picnic areas. From our park, you go east on Hwy 260 just past the Steve Coury Auto Dealership and take the first right. You will see the picnic area. |
