From I-10: (Strongly Recommended) from I-10, take the Monterey exit and continue on it until it turns into HWY 74. Continue for approximately 20-25 miles passing HWY 371. HWY 74 will run into HWY 243 towards Idyllwild. Stay on 243 through town for approximately 3-4 miles and turn right at Fire Station #23. Road will veer to the left. Continue on Canyon Trail Road until you hit the park.

From I-15: Exit I-15 at the HWY 79/Indio exit. Take HWY 79 through Temecula to HWY 371. Turn left and continue on 371 until it meets HWY 74. Turn left. HWY 74 will run into HWY 243 towards Idyllwild. Stay on 243 through town for approximately 3-4 miles and turn right at Fire Station #23. Road will veer to the left. Continue on Canyon Trail Road until you hit the park.

From Palm Springs Preserve: Take Washington St. to Hwy 111. Turn right on Hwy 111 to Hwy 74 in Palm Desert. Turn left and follow Hwy 74 to Mount Center and turn right on Hwy 243. Follow Hwy 243 past Idyllwild about 3 miles to Pine Cove. Turn right on Marion Ridge Drive (look for the Pine Cove Fire Station on the corner). Continue 1/2 mile.

Accommodations
Campsites: 267 summertime, 25 winter sites, no overflow. Rentals: 4 TT Cabins and 7 Getaway cabins.

Idyllwild has water and electric sites only. There is a dump station available as well as honey wagon services. Contact the Ranger Station at 951.659.4137 for more information.

Preserve Description
Located in the San Jacinto Mountains, this 200-acre camping preserve allows you to escape from the Southern California heat and enjoy panoramic mountain scenery. These rugged, pine-covered mountains are perfect for summer hiking and winter snowshoeing. Come fish at our stocked trout pond, or enjoy sunny days in our swimming and wading pools.

We are open through the winter season for those who enjoy a peaceful mountain setting. Members who are interested in rental unit rates should call 951.659.4137 for more information. Plenty of campsites remain open for those who own an RV or wish to brave the cold for tent camping. Call us about our Annual Site Lease Program.
