From San Diego: Take I-805 south to the Telegraph Canyon Road exit and travel east. Continue straight on Telegraph Canyon Road, which becomes Otay Lakes Road. Follow for about 17 miles to the preserve.

From Jamul: Take Hwy 94 south to Otay Lakes Road, turn right and follow about 3 miles to the preserve.

Preserve Description
Amid rolling hills and wildflowers, Pio Pico is nestled at the site of old Rancho Jamul, located southeast of San Diego. This peaceful 180-acre campground offers a wonderful year-round climate with pools, saunas, miniature golf, hiking and biking areas, youth and adult centers and plenty of room to relax. Pio Pico is a short drive to fishing at Otay Lakes, swimming at area beaches, shopping in Mexico, and sightseeing in San Diego, "America's Finest City."
