Additional Local Information

The crystal-clear Russian River is the highlight of this preserve, offering a relaxing atmosphere to sit and gaze at its gently flowing water, read a book, or even doze off while listening to the birds sing! We have plenty of spacious campsites among our Madrone, Oak, and Pine Trees. You are sure to enjoy the natural wildlife that call these beautiful surroundings home -- deer, squirrels, raccoons, and a large variety of birds including the California Quail (scurrying about), Blue Jays (squawking up a storm!), Woodpeckers (doin' what Woodpeckers do), and our favorite -- the Wild Turkeys (we've watched them grow from tiny chicks)!

This is what camping is supposed to look like! We hope you see you soon...
