**Due to the drought our boat launch is completely out of the water, and also members cannot use the wood burning BBQ pits at campsites, the only thing allowed is a propane grill with a cover on it. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Preserve Description
This 260-acre preserve along the shores of Medina Lake lies in the famous Hill Country of Texas. Hunting, boating and fishing are popular in the area. The region contains several dude ranches, and nearby Bandera (the "Cowboy Capital of the World") offers horseback rides, square dancing, rodeos, and chuckwagon dinners. In San Antonio (40 miles) you can visit the Alamo, Sea World, the Heart of Texas (visitor entertainment center), Fiesta Texas Theme Park, and more.
