Member Notice - LTR

Effective April 1, 2007, all guests of members at Leisure Time Resorts will be assessed a $5 per vehicle day-use fee. This rule, which has been in effect for Thousand Trails and NACO preserves for some time, is consistent with Member Rule #3c, which states, “All additional vehicles, whether belonging to a guest or member, will be charged a daily fee”. Original Leisure Time contract holders can refer to their original FAQ’s for validity of this rule. The FAQ reads, “…guest policy is subject to future changes.”

The purpose of the rule is to recoup costs associated with the use of LTR facilities. When guests are present we experience an increase in electrical, freshwater and wastewater usage, not to mention the increased wear and tear on our infrastructure and amenities. All of these expenses are covered by member dues.

One could compare this fee with any other membership organization. An example would be a health club. You’re a member. You pay your monthly fees and are entitled to use the club for free. If you were to invite a guest to join you, your club would charge the guest a fee to use their equipment.

Members must pre-register all guests prior to their arrival. Your guests will be asked to pay the $5 fee upon arrival and given a pass with the time of arrival. If the guest departs within three hours of their arrival time, the fee will be refunded to them. Members may opt to pay the fee in advance for their guest. The number of people in a vehicle may not exceed the number of seat belts available in that vehicle. Members with more than two non-camping vehicles (car, truck, motorcycle, boat, etc.) will also be charged $5 per vehicle/per day.
