Theme Weekends 2009

 

Remember you are here to have a fun and relaxing time, make new friends and renew old ones!!

**Some weekends may be subject to change depending on circumstances as they arrive.

April 10-13th - Easter Weekend- JOIN US FOR A WEEKEND OF FUN:  Easter Egg hunt, bike parade and decorating, crafts and lots of fun.  Managers famous Burgers and Hot Dogs at 5:30pm.

May: 9-10th - Mothers Day Weekend - There will be a craft to make for your mom and a wonderful Sunday breakfast where mom's eat free! Bring the whole family for a nice weekend away for mom! All you can eat spaghetti dinner, Saturday night 5:30pm

May 18-19th Victoria Day Weekend- Breakfast each morning,  All you can eat spaghetti dinner, Saturday night 5:30pm.

Starting June 20th

Breakfast is served every weekend and holiday


June 20-21st- Fathers Day Weekend - Kids come and make Dad a special gift while he plays golf or just relaxes at the campsite. Remember that on Fathers Day Dads get  free breakfast. Managers famous Burger Bash Saturday night 5:30pm

July 1st  - Canada Day Weekend - July 4th-5th Weekend - Happy Birthday Canada and we will also celebrate the American July 4th Independence day together. Come and join our bike parade!! This is a great event were the kids and parents decorate their bikes and have a Parade. After lunch we will have birthday cake and all you can eat spaghetti dinner at 530pm.  Then we can dance to the music of the Hong Kong Cowboy at 7pm.




July 25-26th - Taste of B.C. - Don't miss this event. We will be having all local specialty foods and wine. Events start at 2pm. Come and enjoy these events. Wine tasting is by taster glass for $1.00 per glass.  Saturday Night we will have a Chili and Salad dinner.  The Chili will be the result of a CHILI COOKOFF at 5:30pm, so bring your favorite chili, enough to feed 15 people and we need at least 5 entries. Cost will be $3.00 per bowl, we supply the bowl. The Manager makes the best chili but does not bribe the judges so he has not won in the last two years!!!!!!  Then dance the night away with the Hong Kong Cowboy at 7pm.



August 1-3rd Weekend - Saturday night -Casino Night-starts at 7pm and goes to 930pm. Every parent needs a night out once in a while. So come and enjoy our casino night. There will be horse races, black jack, bingo and much more. Come try your luck and see what prizes you go home with. Starts at 7pm. Burger bash and Corn on the cob at 5 pm. Supper is earlier this Saturday due to set up for Casino night.

August 8-9th - Spaghetti and salad night starts at 5:30pm.

August 15-16th - Luau Weekend - This event takes place August 15th  and is simply spectacular and will have you talking about it for weeks. Paul Tavai-latta with his beautiful dancers takes us on a journey thru Polynesia. We also have a pig roast for supper. Tickets will go on sale July 15th for this event Limited amount available and it sells out fast.

August 22-23rd - Come and enjoy the Managers famous burger bash at 5pm and then dance the night away once again to the music of the Hong Kong Cowboy starting at 7pm.

August 29-30th- Join us for all you can eat spaghetti night and corn on the cob. 5:30pm

Sept. 5-7th - Labour Day Carnival - Fun for the whole family! Enjoy the different events such as the dunk tank, jello eating contest, egg spoon race, adults raw egg toss and much more. It is a great way to spend the weekend before school starts.  Events start at 2pm and go to 4pm.  Then the manager will cook his famous burgers at 5:30pm

Park Clean-up

On September 7th we will wave the checkout time and hope all will join in on the "Annual Clean-up the Park" and enjoy a free hot dog for a bag of garbage picked up. Starts at 11 am and hotdog's served 12-1pm.


September 12th - Sand Sculptures - Let's get a change of scenery and go on a field trip to Harrison Hot Springs to see their World Championship Sand Castle display. We will carpool to and from. Bring your camera and some comfy beach shoes. There are lots of restaurants and shops along the strip to see as well. Lots to see and do.

September19th - Minter Gardens -  Lets get together and venture off to beautiful Minter Gardens. The gardens are absolutely breath taking. Don't forget your camera. It is wonderful to stroll around the gardens and take in all the beauty. We will carpool there and back. There is a great little gift shop as well and a restaurant.

September 26th - Thanksgiving Potluck - Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving, at thepark,  a couple of weekends before the thanksgiving weekend. We supply the turkey and stuffing and would like you to bring your favorite side dish. We put up a sign up sheet for # of people coming and what they are bringing. This works well and gets the members together for a wonderful meal. Dinner will be served at 4 pm.


Fishing
For a great time come and enjoy the world famous fishing on the Fraser River, catch Sockeye, Red springs, Coho, White Springs, Pink Salmon and even the mighty Sturgeon. Fishing charters are available locally. This fishery starts in June and goes through the winter season. No where else in the world can you catch so many different varieties of Salmon.

October and November - Fishing galore on the Vedder River!! Catch all of the above as well as the elusive Steelhead Salmon starting in December on the Vedder river, 20 minutes from camp.
