THEME WEEKENDS 2010

April 9 – 11 Opening Weekend
Spring is finally here, time to go camping again! Get reacquainted with old friends and make new friends as well. Join your fellow campers Saturday evening for an opening weekend dessert social.

May 7 – 9 Mother’s Day Weekend
Mom you’re the best! This weekend enjoy mother/child crafts and activities. Look for Mother’s Day specials in our country store. All moms are invited to a free French toast breakfast Sunday morning. May is also the month for many of our new arrivals in our barnyard petting zoo.

May 28 – 31 Memorial Day Weekend
The beginning of the summer season starts off with our busiest weekend. Lots to do from hayrides, the petting zoo, pony rides, live entertainment and of course the opening of the swimming pool. Who will be the first to make the plunge? This is a big weekend, so make your reservations early.

June 4 – 6 Street Rod Weekend in York
One of the largest street rod events in the entire country is held just a few miles away from the farm. Come see these beautiful, classic machines at the York Fairgrounds this weekend.

June 18 – 20 Civil War Weekend
Civil War reenactors of the Virginia 55th  will be here this weekend. Be sure to visit their encampment and enjoy their drills and demonstrations.

July 2 – 5 July 4th Celebration
Celebrate our nations birthday at the farm. Red, white and blue will be the theme for activities and events. There’ll be tye dyeing, a bike parade, hayrides and much more. The nearby battle fields of Gettysburg will be in full glory as they remember the historic battle.

July 16 – 18   Christmas in July 
Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s Christmas time again. This weekend will feature Christmas crafts, cookies making, a sleigh/hayride with Santa, reindeer rides with JR and Rosie and more. Don’t forget to decorate your campsite this weekend!

July 23 – 25 RV Rally Weekend
One of our favorite weekends at the farm. Lots to do and fun for all. This weekend will feature our first pig roast served ala carte, carnival foods, a live band performing near the pool, face painting and so much more. Campers don’t forget to bring treasures for the flea market. New for this weekend, we’ll be hosting a classic car show! These shows proved to be a big hit last year.

August 6 – 8 Barnyard Olympics Weekend
Good old fashioned fun for young and old as this weekend will feature farming activities and events. We’ll have sack races, a barnyard obstacle course, cow pie toss and a toy tractor pull. This is the weekend to bring out the hidden “farmer” in us.

August 20 – 22 Luau Weekend
Aloha campers! Enjoy activities and crafts all with an “island” theme. Pig out at our pig roast pot luck dinner Saturday evening and enjoy dancing to a live band.

September 3 – 6 Labor Day Weekend
The unofficial end of the summer season has come, but there;ll be plenty of summer activities for all. This weekend will feature the “Civil War reenactors” of the  Virginia 55th. Visit their encampment and maybe participate in their drills. There will be a live country band and a DJ dance this weekend.

October 8 – 11 Columbus Day Weekend
The fall is a special time at the farm. The campground is decorated with corn shocks, hay bales and pumpkins. The maple trees will be ablaze. The National Apple Harvest Festival will be in its second weekend at nearby Biglerville. Saturday evening will feature our final pig roast potluck dinner of the season followed by a live country band.

October 22 – 24 Halloween/Closing Weekend
The final camping weekend has come too soon. Halloween is here with all its fun and excitement. There will be pumpkin carving, a costume party, trick or treating and our “haunted barn”. Don’t forget to decorate your campsite this weekend.
