2013 Theme Weekends

May 3-5 Retro Weekend
Remember hip huggers, peace signs, platform shoes, tie dye. Come on out for a fun filled weekend of retro games, music, and tie dyeing shirts. How good are you at Twister?

May 10-12 Mommy and Me
Treat Mom to a Tea and Cookie Social, make her a nice gift at crafts. How about a game of MOMMY or golf or Mother May I? We need moms to play.

May 17-19 Old Timers Weekend
We will have a cheese social and have a night out with your fellow campers. We are also going to play some old time games, let’s see if you remember any. What about homemade ice cream? We will have a campfire to make some stew, kids will be asked to help.

May 24-27 Memorial Day Weekend
Breakfast starts Saturday Mornings come on out and let Kim and Pam cook for you. Pool opens on Saturday the 25th at 10am for the summer. We will have our first paintball game, bring your paintball guns and supplies for a fun filled time. We will have pool games and open the grill for burgers and hotdogs. Saturday night DJ Charlotte. If you want a certain song and she doesn’t have it bring it and she will play it.
On Monday the 27th we will have our local veterans doing their 21 gun salute, along with a moment of silence, reading and prayer. We will also have a parade following the ceremony. Golf Carts, Bicycles and walkers are welcome.

May 31-June 2 Race Weekend
Golf cart scavenger hunt, Canoe races, NASCAR race, Relay races, Horse Races, Soap box derby relays. Come help your team decorate the soap box car to race. All ages are welcome.

June 7-9 Pets are Family Too--Responsible Dog Owners Day Weekend

June 14-16 Just Like My Dad Weekend
We will hold our 2nd paint ball game, bring your supplies. Make a gift for dad for Father’s Day and play a game of hoops and volleyball.

Don’t forget to fly your flags!!

June 21-23 All About Cars
Car show June 22, rain date June 29. Cars, music, food and fun. We will have our drive-in movie with popcorn, burgers and hot dogs and candy. Movie will be [what else?] CARS.

June 28-30 50’s Sock Hop Weekend
Poodle Skirts, rolled up jeans and greased hair. We will have burgers, milkshakes and root beer floats, Stop out for a night of fun. Can you do the Hand Jive?
                       
July 4-7 Celebrate the 4th of July
Come dance the night away with Second Chance Band. On July 4th we will have our parade. Walkers, Golf Carts and Bicycles are welcomed. Decorate for the occasion and celebrate our freedom. We will have a Soldier’s Story reading. We will also have our 3rd paint ball game so bring your own supplies.

July 12-14 Carnival Weekend
Come out for our carnival, pie throwing, spin art and spill tank to name a few; favorite carnival games and food.

July 19-21 Outer Space Weekend
Meteor showers and stargazing. Bring your own telescope if you would like. Let’s see what we can find. Let's see what fun craft we'll have to do.

July 26 Pickn ‘n Grinnin
Let’s have fun hillbilly-style! Come swim in our Cement Pond. Potato Sack races, Tater Peeling contest, and more foot stomping fun. Fishing with Willie. Amber Waves will play from 7-8:30pm for a love offering.

August 2-4 Our Annual Hawaiian Luau
Our annual pig roast with authentic Hawaiian foods. Following the luau join us for our dancing show performed by Culture Shock. Purchase your tickets early, we always sell out!!

August 9-11 Safety Weekend
2nd Annual--We will have fire trucks, ambulances, smoke house, etc. How about some sausage sandwiches, burgers and dogs?

August 16-18 Life’s a Beach Pool Party!!!    
Saturday night, Giant Water Slide Sat afternoon, water battles, canoe races and more. Splish-Splash and have fun.
           
August 23-25 It’s All About Chocolate
What better place to have this than at Hershey? Chocolate pudding painting, pie eating, guess the number of M&Ms and more.

August 30-Sept 2 Labor Day
Let’s have a super great weekend at the pool. Games, fun and entertainment with DJ Charlotte. We will have our Labor Day Parade so decorate your carts and bikes, walkers too. The pool will close at 8pm on Sept. 2.

The Month of September we will have activities and games WEEKENDS ONLY.

Sept 6 - Sept 8 2nd Astronomy Event
Frank Ney (a member) will be here to help with the telescopes and plans for the weekend.

Sept 11th We will have a moment of silence and prayer with a reading for those who losttheir lives on 9/11.

Oct 4-6 Fall Harvest and Craft Sale
Sign up early for booths; you must list what you are doing so not to step on people’s toes.

Oct 11-13 Haunted Trail Weekend #1
Crafts, games and fun.

Oct 18-20 Haunted Trail Weekend#2
Trick or Treat on Saturday, Costume Judging.

Oct 23-27 Haunted Trail Weekend# 3
Trick or Treating Saturday, Costume Judging, Site Decorating.

Park closes at Noon Oct 27.
