May 1st - Kentucky Derby / May 2nd - Cinco de Mayo Weekend
Cheer on your own horse during the running at Churchill Downs. We will be having a Taco Bar following the race to celebrate Cinco de Mayo Day. We will furnish the shells and meat. You bring the toppings.
May 9th-10th - Mother’s Day
Treat mom to our fabulous breakfast buffet. Join in our version of “Family Feud”. Sunday afternoon all moms will receive a free sundae.
May 16th – David Robert’s Cooking Class Weekend/Birthdays and Anniversary Weekend Starting Friday evening David Roberts will be giving his famous cooking lessons to any interested member. Dave will demonstrate the art of smoking and cooking of various meats. These lessons will run throughout the day on Saturday. Saturday evening we will be recognizing all members who celebrate a birthday or anniversary while the park was closed.
May 23rd – Memorial Day Weekend The Boy Scouts will be here to join us in our flag ceremony. Come out and show your support to our troops. This weekend activities include a Wine Tasting Party and a Steak Fry.
May 30th – Fitness Weekend
Ok all you competitors, now is your chance. This weekend will be filled with many different races and competitions for the young and the old. Prizes will be given to the winners.
June 5th - School’s Out-Kids Fun Night
This weekend is dedicated to the children at our park. We will have kid’s games all weekend. On Saturday night wewill have a sleep in at the barn. Adults won’t be left out. Activities will be planned for the adults also.
June 13th Wet and Wild Pool Games Weekend Tired of the heat, bring your parents, grandparents, kids, grandkids anyone you can find and come to the pool for some cooling off fun.
June 19th – Amish Weekend/Fathers Day Weekend
This weekend we will be traveling to an Amish home to partake in an actual Amish Wedding dinner. The Amish family makes the dinner from scratch. The family will give tours of their farm and logging mill. Please contact Rob Needham at 440-576-9030 as soon as possible if you would like to attend. This dinner fills up fast! Bring dad or grandpa to our fabulous breakfast on Sunday. Later in the day join us for the putt-putt and fishing contests. Dads will receive a free sundae at our Ice Cream Social.
June 26th-27th - Dave’s Cooking Class/ Birthday & Anniversary
Starting Friday evening David Roberts will be giving his famous cooking lessons to any interested member. Dave will demonstrate the art of smoking and cooking of various meats. These lessons will run throughout the day on Saturday. Saturday night we will be celebrating all birthdays and anniversaries in the month of June.
July 4th – Independence Day Weekend
Come celebrate our nation’s birthday by cooking your own steak at our steak fry. Decorate your golf cart or bike and join us in our parade around the park. Join us in our first annual blind golf cart and remote control car races.

July 11th – Redneck Weekend
We have many games and activities planned for this weekend. Do not be fooled by the name of the games, many are not what you think they are. If you don’t sign-up we will sign you up. Our first Corn Hole Tournament is scheduled for this weekend.
July 18th – Western Weekend
Come join us in the barn for some line dancing lessons. Join us in our Mr. And Mrs. Cowboy dress a-like contest. For those looking for fun join us in a horseshoe and putt -putt contest. An authentic covered wagon will be at the preserve for great photo shots. We will be traveling to Bessie’s for our second authentic Amish Wedding Dinner.

July 25th - Christmas in July
Decorate your rig for the holidays. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Join us at the Welcome Center for our cookie and gift exchange. The Rec. Dept. will be selling their famous Italian Sausage sandwiches. We will also be hosting a holiday Arts and Craft Show.
August 1st – Everything Chocolate Weekend
Chocolate lovers delight…Enjoy the chocolate fountain. We will cover and dip it all. Make your favorite pie for our second annual Pie Auction. Come join us in honoring those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries in the month of July.

August 8th – Luau Weekend
Grab your Hawaiian shirt or skirt and come on down to the barn for a true Luau feast. Join us for a limbo contest and a watermelon eating contest. Dinner will be followed by a dance in the barn.
August 15th – Beach Party Weekend
All games this weekend will leave you soaked. Water volleyball. Bring your super soakers. Join us to celebrate birthdays/anniversaries for the month of August.
August 22nd –Remote Control Weekend
Bring your remote controlled vehicle to the Welcome Center. Let the races begin. Register early for our final Amish Wedding Dinner of the season.

August 29th - Mardi Gras Weekend
Get ready to play cards and other games of chance. Dave Roberts will be conducting his second cooking class this weekend. Join us for our pulled pork dinner.
September 5th – Labor Day Weekend
This weekend we will be featuring our own “Top Chef” contest. Those members who were trained by Chef Roberts will compete in the competition. We will also be having another steak fry.
September 12th – Chili Cook-Off Weekend
Come one come all to our annual Chili Cook-Off. This is the time for all you expert chefs to show your cooking abilities. Make enough for all of us to taste your creations. Couples come and play the Kenisee Lake version of the “Newlywed Game”.

September 19th – Clams, Clams, and more Clams
Sign-up early for our annual clambake feast. Those who do not like clams, we also will be serving bar-b-queue chicken and prime rib.
September 26th – Member/Staff Recognition Weekend
Time has come to say “Thank you” to all the members and staff at Kenisee Lake who helped to make this season a success. We will be hosting a “THANK YOU” dinner. We will also be honoring those members having birthdays and anniversaries in the month of September.
October 3rd - Fall Festival Weekend With all the vibrant colorful leaves on the ground, grab up your cameras and snap some photos to share then head down to the Welcome Center for our annual Spaghetti Dinner.

October 10th - Covered Bridge Weekend - Ashtabula County will be celebrating their annual Covered Bridge Festival this weekend. Ashtabula County is home to thirteen covered bridges. This past fall they dedicated the longest covered bridge in the United States. Tours are available starting at the fairgrounds.
