Theme Weekends 2009

Feb 1st ~ Super bowl Party in the Family Center -  Enjoy the game on our big screen. Bring your snacks and we’ll pitch in for the pizza. 

Feb 14-15~ Valentine’s Weekend - Come make Valentine s cards, Enjoy our Sweethearts Dinner and a romantic weekend in La Conner.             

       

March 14-15~ Saint Patrick’s Weekend -  Come and join us for an Irish good time! Corned Beef and Cabbage + Green Beer will abound!. 

April 11-12~ Easter Weekend - Hop on down to La Conner for our annual Easter Egg Hunt with great prizes.   We’ll be dying eggs and making crafts. Come make a memory with us.

 

May 2-3 ~ Cinco De Mayo -  Enjoy our Mexican Food and Margarita social. Ole!!  

May 9-10 ~ Mother’s Day Weekend -  Bring Mom to our special Mother’s Day Tea  on Saturday afternoon.  Make her a fancy card in Rec Central & Don’t forget Mom’s eat free  French toast on Sunday Breakfast.

May 16-17th ~ Queen Victoria’s Birthday - We will have a cake and ice cream party to celebrate with the “Queen”.

 

May 23-25~ Pirates will be invading La Conner! -  Get yer family together and go searchin fer Pirate’s Plunder! Walk the Plank on the front lawn and other Pirate games!  Sat night Music w/ Dreyer Bros. Sunday Chapel with our very own Mark & Mel. Monday will be fun on the lawn w/ Bounce House.

June 6-7th~ Movie Mania - Come see movies on the front lawn (Weather permitting) Movie Trivia game in Family Center too. 

June 13-14th ~ Game Days - Lets play Mexican Train with Roselyn or how about Monopoly with the Rec Staff?

June 20-21st ~ Fathers Day -  Tell Dad he’s Special with a homemade card or bring Dad to Mini Golf for a Fathers day Family Golf tourney.  Tell Dad we are buying at our Sunday special breakfast where Dad’s eat free French toast.

June 27-28th ~Scrapbook with us. Bring your pictures and supplies, or we will supply the rest at our Scrap booking Party.

  

 

  

July 3,4,5 ~” Independence day Weekend” Join Mark & Mel at the campfire on Friday. Saturday is our annual 4th of July Carnival during the day, and our 2nd Annual Fireworks display that night. .  Music Sat evening w/ Norm Lynn.  Sunday Chapel w/ Mark & Mel.

July 11-12th ~ “Happy Birthday to you!”-  Celebrating everyone’s birthday. We will be making our own handmade ice cream to eat with  Birthday cake.

July 18-19th ~ La Conner Olympics - Let’s meet on the Front Lawn and run relays, tug of war and Hula Hoop contest.

July 25-26th ~ Aloha - Let’s have a Hawaiian vacation at La Conner. We’ll have the Aloha Dancers, great Hawaiian food and games, see you then, Mahalo.

 

Aug 1-2nd. ~ Aug-toberfest weekend - Oompa bands will ring in your ears as you enjoy our German beer garden.  Enjoy the Traditional food and traditions this weekend.

Aug 8-9th ~ Water Wars -  Get out you Super-Soaker and prepare to get wet!!  We’ll set up the water slide, kiddy pool, and sprinklers so get ready for the fun.

Aug 15~ Dog Days of Summer - Ever tried your dog on Agility equipment? Does Rover have a special trick to share? Well we are having a contest for the most talented, ugliest, adorable etc, etc dog. Have fun with your pet on the Front Lawn.

Aug 22-23rd ~ Celebrate Art in the Park - Pick your Project, or try them all! We are teaching Mosaic stones, 3- D Cards, Watercolor painting and much more.

Aug 29-30th ~ “50’s Weekend" -Get out your Elvis costume and memorabilia for our Best “Elvis” contest Dance that night away to some good old fashioned “Rock N Roll” .

 

Sept 4,5,6,7th ~ “Kids Rule-Then Back to School” - Fun and games on Saturday with the Bounce house, then we have Charlie Moore, our fav DJ  play for us on the Front Lawn at our Back to School Bash. Food, Games and dancing galore. Monday we wind it up with an old-fashioned B-B-Q at the Trading Post before you head for home!

 

October 11 -13 “Canadian Thanksgiving”
Oct 10th~ “Canadian Thanksgiving” - We supply the Turkey, Potato’s, stuffing and Gravy, you bring a desert, or veggie dish.

Oct 31st.”Halloween Weekend” - We have a Spookin’ good time here at La Conner with a site decorating contest, Pumpkin carving contest, then Trick or Treat in the Park.  When the sun goes down, the woods come alive with ghosties, join us in the Haunted Forest if you dare. Dec 19th ~ “Christmas Party”- Have some cookies and eggnog while we trim the tree.

Dec 31st ~ New Years Eve - Party in the Park, come Dance in the New Year with us.
