2012 Theme Weekends

1/7 THANK YOU WEEKEND/HAPPY JANUARY BIRTHDAYS
January is National Thank You Month, so let’s make thank you cards.  We’ll also play games and share our New Year’s Resolutions for 2012 while having cake to celebrate with members having January birthdays.

1/14 GRANDPARENT’S WEEKEND
Bring or borrow a grandparent or grandchild to Lake Conroe this weekend for some camping fun. We’ll play games, roast marshmallows and tell tall tales about the good ole days around an evening fire.

1/21 WHITE ELEPHANT BINGO WEEKEND
Got a few things hanging around that you don’t use but can’t bear to throw away? Things like a Lucky Casino ash tray or a How-To manual for Dummies or a box of gift soaps that you got from Aunt Ola (the third set in three years).Bring them to bingo and re-gift them to some lucky player this weekend.

1/28 (NOT SO NEWLY) NEWLYWED GAME        
Been married one week or 65 years? Doesn’t matter—let’s just see how well you know your spouse. Come participate. It’s great fun and prizes will be awarded.

2/4 SUPER BOWL WEEKEND/HAPPY FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS
We’ll be preparing for Sunday’s Super Bowl Game by having a cheerleading competition and other fanatic football fan fun. Then gather on Sunday in the AC for the big game. Be sure to bring your snacks and drinks and wear your team’s colors.

2/11 SWEETHEART’S DAY WEEKEND
Bring your sweetheart to the AC this weekend for some pre-Valentine activities. Make a Valentine card for your sweetie’s eyes only or post a sweet message on the board for all the read.

2/18 FRUITY BINGO WEEKEND
Don’t miss out on Lake Conroe’s Famous Fruity Bingothisweekend. One o’clock – grab a date anddon’t be late.

2/25 FEATHERED FRIENDS WEEKEND
February is National Bird Feeding Month, so plan to come to the AC to make a pine cone bird feeder, show off your bird identifying skills and share those amazing pictures you’ve taken of our feathered friends.

3/3  DR. SUESS' AND HAPPY MARCH BIRTHDAYS WEEKEND - We’ll be celebrating birthdays this weekend (Dr. Suess’ and yoursif you were born in March). And don’t forget your big tall hat; Dr. Suess would be proud of that!

3/10 RODEO WEEKEND - YEEHAW!! 
Come to Lake Conroe this weekend for some rip-roarin’ rodeo fun! We’ll be tossing cow chips and roping lil doggies. And don’t forget about the best dressed dude and dudette contest.

3/17 ST. PATRICK'S DAY WEEKEND
Let’s GO GREEN at Lake Conroe this weekend! We’ll make some leprechaun crafts at the AC and have a scavenger hunt, too. Will you be the one to find the pot’o’gold???

3/24 SPRING FLING WEEKEND
Spring has sprung here at Lake Conroe so it’s time to beautify the preserve by cleaning out the flowerbeds at the AC and doing a little spring cleaning. Afterwards we’ll treat ourselves with an ice cream social.

3/31 WINDY WEEKEND
Join us to fly a kite, fling a Frisbee and enter our whistling contest. We’ll also launch some balloons that will wind up who-knows-where. So come be a part of the fun a Lake Conroe this weekend.
