THEME WEEKENDS 2009

January 3rd:  Island Day!  Join us for Island Games, Costume contests and our Luau Buffet Dinner topped off with a performance by Hula Halua Ohana Elikapeka


January 10th:  Super Bingo - We'll have a Pet parade & hayride during the day and Super Bingo in the evening

Friday January 16th:  Fish Fry - Fried Catfish, fries, pinto beans, cole slaw, hush puppies & drink all for $6.95 + tax.

January 17th:  Class A RV B.B.Q. Dinner & Charity Auction - Ruben & crew from Class A will provide a complimentary B.B.Q. dinner followed by a charity auction with all proceeds going to the Spirits of Christmas in Bandera County

January 24th:  Game/Social Day - we'll have a Poker run, brown bag bingo and an evening social with Top of the Trail Cafe supplying a cracker & cheese tray

January 31st:  Yard Sale Day:  Put out your treasures on your campsite to sell from 8am - 5pm.  One man's trash is another man's treasure!

February 1st: Super Bowl Sunday - We'll put out snack trays - you come and cheer on your team!!

February 7th: Not so Newly Wed Game - Let's see who knows their sweetheart best.  Divorce court will be held Sunday!

February 14th:  Happy Valentine's Day - we'll hold our annual Sweetheart Buffet & Dance.  A professional photographer will be on hand to take portraits in the Adult Room with portraits printed on site.

Friday February 20th:  Fish Fry - Fried Catfish, pinto beans, fries, cole slaw, hush puppies & drink  $6.95 + tax

February 21st:  Medina Prize Game - We'll have a Wii Tournament during the day and the Medina Prize Game in the evening.

 

February 28th:  Winter Texan Party - All day flea market on the Pavilion and a B.B.Q. dinner & Dance in the evening.

 

March 7th:  Spring Break - we'll kick off spring break week with hay rides during the day and pavilion fun with our ever popular "frozen t-shirt" contest.  We'll close the day with another hayride down to the fire ring at the lake to roast marshmallows for s'mores.

 

March 9th - March 13th: Spring Break Week - Top of the Trail Cafe will be open from 9am - 11:30am serving breakfast.

 

March 14th:  St. Pat's Celebration - We'll have a wacky golf tournament, Irish scavengerhunt and the Medina prize game in the evening.

 

March 21st:  We are gonna take it easy tonight with Movie Night.  We'll pop in a movie & pass around the popcorn

March 28th:  Game/Social night - Bring your favorite board and card games to the A.C. to play & socialize.

April 11th:  Easter Weekend - Join us for egg coloring, Easter crafts and a moonlight Easter egg hunt of Saturday. On Easter Sunday the Easter bunny will be joining you for your egg hunts and Top of the Trail Cafe will have Easter Dinner.
 
April 17th - Fiesta 2009 starts in San Antonio!!
 
April 25th - We'll have Nature Walks, a scavenger hunt and hay rides today.
 
May 9th:  Mother's Day Weekend - Join us for a special "Mom" craft for the kids, candy bar bingo, a photographer will be on hand to take Family Portraits, Super Bingo Saturday night and on Sunday mom eats free at Top of the Trail and we'll have a door prize drawing just for mom!
 
May 16th:  The 4th Annual Medina Lake Barbeque Cook Off will be held on the preserve. Contestants will be camped down in "C" section. All proceeds will go to benenfit the local volunteer fire department.
 
May 23rd:  Memorial Day Weekend - Wacky golf, hay rides, lawn games and party trays on Saturday. On Sunday we'll have a BBQ dinner and Dance. Top of the Trail Cafe will be open for breakfast Monday morning.
 
June 6th:  Today it will be bike parades, water games and the Medina prize game.
 
June 20th:  Father's Day weekend - Tournaments, sack races, seed spitting, pie eating and jello sipping will keep Dad busy. Saturday night we'll pop in a movie and pass around the popcorn. On Sunday Dad eats free at Top of the Trail Cafe and we'll have a special door prize drawing just for Dad.

 

July 4th Celebration Weekend: Friday, July 3rd - Top of the Trail will be open from 8:00a.m. - 7:00p.m. Saturday, July 4th - Our float will leave the A.C. at 9:00a.m. to join the Parade in Lakehills.2:00p.m. Banana Splits $1.00 each. 3:30p.m. Lawn Games - see what Holly has planned for you!! 5:00p.m. BBQ Dinner at Top of the Trail Cafe. 8:00p.m. Dance with Bimbo & the Borderline Band.

Sunday, July 5th: 8:00a.m. - 12:00 noon  Breakfast at Top of the Trail Cafe. 10:30a.m.  Bike, Golf Cart & Pet Parade - meet in the A.C. parking lot to decorate your bikes or golf carts.

Saturday, July 11th: Flea Market on the Pavilion:  bring your treasures to sale from 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. 10:00a.m.  Mini-Golf Tournament. 1:00p.m.  Poker Run. 4:30p.m.  Shuffleboard Tournament. 7;00p.m.  Movie Night:  we'll pop in a movie and pass around the popcorn.

Saturday, July 18th:  Christmas in July - We'll hold our 2nd auction of the year with all proceeds going to the Spirits of Christmas in Bandera County. 11:00a.m. Hay ride, 1:00p.m. Wacky Golf, 3:00p.m. Wii Tournamant, 7:00p.m The auction will begin.

Saturday, July 25th:  Super Bingo Weekend - 10:00a.m. Shuffleboard Tournament, 1:00p.m Brown Bag Bingo, 3:00p.m. Candy Bar Bingo, 7:00p.m. Super Bingo

September 5th &6th: Labor Day Weekend: Join us for bike parades, hay rides, pavilion games, banana splits and the Medina Prize Game on Saturday. On Sunday we’ll have pig races, pool tournaments, a BBQ dinner and Bimbo will be playing on the pavilion.

Saturday, September 12th:  It’s game night. Come engage fellow campers in your favorite games.

Saturday, September 26th:  Cajun Festival and Preserve-Wide Yard Sale - The local M.L.B.A. will host the annual Cajun Festival about one mile from the preserve. On the preserve, we’ll have a preserve-wide yard sale.

Saturday, October 3rd:  Come join Oktoberfest and the beginning of our Fall season with us.

Saturday October 11th:  Columbus day Weekend and Super Bingo: free cards – great prizes.

Saturday, October 31st:  Halloween Weekend:  Pumpkin carving, piñatas, apple bobbing, costume contests, trick or treat hayrides and our Haunted Trail.

Saturday, November 7:  Welcome Winter Texan Party:  We’ll have a party to kick-off our Winter Season.

Thursday, November 26:  Thanksgiving Day Dinner:  We provide turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, rolls and drinks. You bring a side dish and dessert. Tickets for sale in advance.

Saturday, November 28th:  All Day Flea Market at the Activity Center: Come pick out some bargains to buy.

Friday, December 12th:  Member Christmas Party:  We’ll have party trays, trim our tree and enjoy each other’s company

Thursday, December 25th:  Christmas Day Dinner:  We provide turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls and drinks. You bring a side dish and dessert. Tickets sold in advance.

Wednesday, December 31st:  Ring in the New Year with Bimbo and the Borderline Band in the A.C.
