Theme Weekends 2010

 

April 2nd-4th Easter Weekend:
Hop to Sturbridge for opening day. We will be hopping like the bunny to celebrate and reunite with friends. There will be egg hunts and a Ham Pot Luck, so grab the family hip-pity-hop (hare).

April 9th-11th Spring Clean-Up:
The clean up is needed by all of our friends and family. Let’s get this Park clean.  Get on the way to a great season of fun.

SIX FLAGS NEW ENGLAND NOW OPEN!

April 16th-18th Kiddies Craft Weekend:
Come on Moms and Dads. Bring the kiddies here for a creative and busy weekend with arts and crafts every hour of the day. So come and stay here at Sturbridge.

April 23rd-25th April Vacation Weekend:
For a week, it’s just a tease for the upcoming summer, but we will take it. The pool will be open activities for the young ones, with relaxation for the rest of you.

April 30th-May 2nd A Nightmare on Mashapaug Road Weekend:
Freddy Krueger might show up in your dreams but it will be horror classics day and night trivia contest on all your favorites so look under your bed while you’re here for this chilling weekend. Be afraid, be VERY afraid.

May 7th-9th Mothers Day Weekend:
This one’s for Moms everywhere! We will keep the Dads and kids busy.  So come to the campground, relax and take some time in the spa and rest….you deserve this. Time for the best woman of the year, and for them, we have a great deal.

MAY 11th-16th: BRIMFIELD ANTIQUE AND FLEA MARKET

May 14th-16th Birthday Weekend:
Light up those candles on our birthday cake for all to share. Everyone has one, so we will celebrate it starting with a Pot Luck dinner to start out the evening. You don’t have to tell your age, but you will tell what a nice weekend you celebrated here with us.

May 21st-23rd Mexican Weekend:
There will be a fiesta here, so we will have a Mexican Pot Luck dinner. It will be "Muy caliente”. Also, we are going to have a chili cook off.

May 28th-31st Memorial Day Weekend:
Red, white and blue.  It’s true, we all love those colors and this is when we celebrate our flag with family cookouts and sparking bon fires so happy to be in the USA
There will be a Memorial Day dinner (Full course on Sunday Night. The band “Full Circle” will be here on May 30th).


SIX FLAGS WATER PARK OPENS!

June 4th-6th Go Green Weekend:
Green is the universal color for all, so let’s do our part. Dim the lights, and light the campfire’s and let’s have a drive for bottles and cans. All proceeds go to the kids of Sturbridge for a pizza party.

June 11th-13th Flag Day Weekend:
Our flag is so beautiful with fifty stars, waving when the wind blows. Proud to be an American knowing how lucky we are camping in Sturbridge with full appreciation of what the flag means to all. There is a 25% discount on any 2-night stay in a rental, only if you make your reservation at our campground.

June 18th-20th Fathers Day Weekend:
Hey Dads, over here. 20% off our rental unit price for the 2 nights. This is the place to be to get away, so bring your fishing poles and your cooler and relax. You deserve it!

June 25th-27th Schools Out Weekend:
Its finally here, so pack up your bikes, your swim wear and a pair of sunglasses. Let’s kick off this summer with old fashion cookout Pot Luck dinner, to see our old and new summer friends. DJ Pyramid Sound’s will be here!

July 2nd-5th July 4th Weekend:
Fire works light up the sky at night. It is so exciting, but by day we celebrate here with all the campy activities for all ages and a big bon fire for all to gather. Dick and Geneva will DJ. Also, Willy Walten’s acrobatic will be here along with DJ Pyramid Sound’s.

July 9th-11th New Moon Weekend:
Hopefully it’s a full moon over us while we dance under the stars. What a way to end the busy day with crafts, sports and games. Family fun is always here. Also, the Ultimate Video Dance Party.

JULY 13th-18th : BRIMFIELD ANTIQUE AND FLEA MARKET

July 16th-18th Valentines Day Weekend:
Yes, in July let’s celebrate this weekend with a holiday. Romance will be in the air, the family will be together with plenty to do, then you’ll dance a slow dance with you favorite person under the stars. So happy to be here.

July 23rd-25th Wild, Wild West Weekend:
Hey all you dudes and gals. Were going to have a boot kicking weekend here, so get ready to swing your partner round and round under the moonlight. Grab your partner and dos-e -doe here for our annual Pig Roast presented by the staff. “Hurricane Wilson” will be here entertaining us.

July 30th-Aug. 1st Christmas in July Weekend:
Ho! Ho! Ho! Give yourself and your family a present and come to Sturbridge. We will have a Christmas Feast and maybe a visit from you know who? Let the Yule tides roll with Dick and Geneva.

Aug. 6th-8th Iron Chef Sturbridge Weekend:
Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto, Mario Batali, Cat Cora, and yes, even Michael Symon has nothing on us here. There will be a competition here and there will be judges to determine what our chef’s in Sturbridge will create in a timely matter. Don’t forget that there will be a secret ingredient that they must use to prepare these dishes with. Also performing “The Young Fossils” on Saturday Night.

Aug. 13th-15th Friday the 13th Weekend:
Jason Voorhees will be here in the flesh at Camp Outdoor “Blood” World. There will be night time walks … then again… run for your life at night and wagon rides for the children. So beware for having a frightening good time. Pyramid Karaoke at night.

Aug. 20th-23rd Thanksgiving Weekend:
It is a summer time gobbling weekend. There will be crafts and entertainment along with a Thanksgiving Day Feast to share with friends and family. We can all be thankful for all our happiness and prosperity.

Aug. 27th-29th Super Hero Weekend:
Superman, Batman, Hulk, Iron Man and Spider-Man will all be here one way or another, so make sure you are all here to have a lot of fun here at Sturbridge.  We will make you our super hero for one weekend.

 

SEPTEMBER 7th-12th : BRIMFIELD ANTIQUE AND FLEA MARKET  

Sept. 3rd-6th Labor Day Weekend:
The last summer weekend of the year. It’s come so fast. There will be games, sports, cook-outs and entertainment at night. What more could you ask for on this long family weekend. It’s all here!

Sept. 10th–12th Wine and Dine Weekend:
We will get the cheese, you bring a bottle of your favorite wine to share with others and let’s have a wine tasting treat of a weekend.  Sitting around the fire place with new and old friends, savoring the taste and a good time.

Sept. 17th--19th Swinging 60’s Weekend:
"We're Gonna Rock Around the Clock Tonight!"  So grab those leather jackets, slick back your hair, and your jeans and t-shirts are your dancing gear. Let’s dance to our oldies with energy to spare.

SEPTEMBER 17th: BIG E OPENS

Sept. 24th-26th Craft Weekend:
Calling all crafters, this is your weekend. Show off your crafts, sell them if you can. We will have an adult craft session and for you not so crafty people, enjoy our indoor pool and spa.

Oct. 1st-3rd James Bond Weekend:  
The name's Bond, James Bond. This weekend will be shaken not stirred for you. There will be trivia and movies featuring Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore.

Oct. 8th-11th Columbus Day Weekend:
This three day weekend is for everyone. The autumn will peak with the leaves so bright, with a slight chill in the air and bonfires blazing at Sturbridge in New England. This is the place to take in all of the autumn sights.

Oct. 16th-18th Looney Tunes Weekend:
What’s up Doc? Tunes are coming here, like Bugs Bunny, Tweetie, and Sylvester.  So let’s make some popcorn and relax saying “That’s All Folks” to another great weekend.

Oct. 22nd-24th Three Stooges Weekend:
A Moe, Larry and Curley tribute will be held here this weekend.  Shows and trivia will be featured, and maybe Shemp and Joe will have a part of this slap-stick fun weekend.

Oct. 29th-31st Halloween Weekend:
Come and let us scare you with a spook-filled fun weekend!  This will be a spectacular weekend in Sturbridge, featuring pumpkin carving, crafts and trick or treating for the young ghouls in our lives.  And do not forget about the “Killer Monster Mash” Costume Ball to end off a great season at Outdoor World Sturbridge.
