Theme Weekends 2010

April 2nd – 4th:  Grand Re-Opening Weekend! Welcome back!  Enjoy a fun filled weekend featuring a reunion with Walker Wolf and his Trail Team and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.  Play bunny games, decorate eggs and go on a Easter Egg hunt!  Our Water Park is ready for everyone to splish, splash, and have an awesome time!

April 9th – 11th:  Spring into Spring!
Spring weather is blooming at Timothy Lake!  Hoot the Owl from the Trail Team will teach you about the wildlife in the Pocono’s and how we can respect and help them.  Scavenger hunts and springtime crafts are just a few of the activities planned for the beginning of this wonderful weather!

April 16th – 18th:  Earth Day is Every Day!
Get to know our Trail Team whose goal is to teach us how to protect the environment.  Activities will be themed around how you can make a difference.  Enter our “Save the Planet” poster contest and help make some delicious bird nest cupcakes!

April 23rd – 25th:  Doggy Daze!
Bring Fido along with you to show off his doggy tricks and to participate in a dog parade for treats!  Take him on a nice leisurely hike as we get started with our “Walk the Trails” program.  We’ll have a hot dog eating contest, a dog howling contest and doggy arts and crafts this weekend!

April 30th – May 2nd:  South of the Border Weekend!
Take a big whack at a piñata and decorate wooden maracas at arts and crafts.  Sign up for our first soccer game of the season and enter a real hot jalepeno eating contest.  On Saturday night treat the family to a delicious Mexican meal of tacos and chili.

May 7th – 9th:  Mom’s Rule!
Enjoy activities for Mom all weekend long!  Treat her to an ice cream social on Saturday and sing her a song during karaoke.  Don’t forget to make Mom something special at arts and crafts and remind her of “Mom’s Only Hour” at the Water Park!

May 14th – 16th:  Carnival Jamboree!
Test you skills with ring toss, obstacle courses or get your face painted carnival style. Cotton candy, jumbo pretzels, buttered popcorn and powdered funnel cakes will also be available at great prices!  Laugh with delight when “Noodles” the clown entertains you with clown and mime antics at the courtyard. 

May 21st – 23rd:  Family Water World Weekend!
Let’s get started by meeting at Club Blazer to learn about water safety from Haley the Helpful Hawk. Water games and water competitions will be held all weekend long! Sing your heart out during our Karaoke Sing Off on Saturday night. Don’t miss out on the fun!

May 28th – 31st:  Memorial Day Celebration!
It’s time to launch the summer season with lots of outdoor fun activities!  Sign up for our first softball game of the season, canoe races and volleyball competitions!  Enjoy our courtyard BBQ and live entertainment Saturday and Sunday night!

June 4th – 6th:  I Spy Weekend!
All Sherlock Holmes fans will love this weekend!  Club Blazer will host mystery hunts, mazes and Dray the Dragonfly will offer you an “I Spy” challenge puzzle called “Save the Rays.” On Saturday night a mysterious “Magic Show” will be presented to you in the Mountain Top Lodge!

June 11th – 13th:  Sports-A-Thon Weekend!
A little friendly competition never hurts!  Guests vs employees softball games, basketball shootouts, and a billiards tourney are just a few of the games you can join in on!  Top off the night with live entertainment at the courtyard and a game of pass the beach ball!

June 18th – 20th:  It’s all about Dads Weekend!
Dads will enjoy a great weekend of going fishing, playing horseshoes and having fun during a “Kids vs Dads” mini golf game.  Relax with no stress at the “Dads Only Hour” at the Water Park.  Stop at Club Blazer to make a gift for Dad to make him feel really special!

June 25th – 27th:  Rock Around the Clock!
Dig out your penny loafers and poodle skirts as we go back in time and rock!  Enjoy a root beer float as you catch the T-Birds and Pink Ladies in the classic movie “Grease.”  Do the stroll and mashed potatoes during live entertainment at the Mountain Top Lodge.

July 2nd – 5th:  Happy 4th Weekend!
Bring your patriotic spirit to Timothy Lake this weekend!  Celebrate with lots of star spangled games such as softball, tug-of-war and tag football!   Enjoy our courtyard BBQ after cooling off playing water games at the outdoor pool.  Live entertainment under the stars will keep the spirit going on Saturday and Sunday night.

July 9th – 11th:  Christmas in July!
Santa’s coming to Timothy Lake with lots of holiday cheer!  Help decorate the Xmas tree, go on a candy hunt and sing holiday songs at Karaoke.  We’ll keep you busy crafting holiday decorations and making some delicious cookies!  Don’t forget to pack your lights and decorations for the site decorating contest.

July 16th – 18th:  Mardi Gras Weekend!
Let loose and have a great time this weekend!  Go on a green, purple, and gold scavenger hunt and at arts and crafts make a silly Mardi Gras mask.  Back by popular demand we will have a Tarot Card Reader to predict your future and a DJ to keep things festive!

July 23rd – 25th:  Dino-Mite Weekend!
T-Rex is back again to entertain all dinosaur fans! Hit open the dinosaur piñata and go on a dinosaur egg hunt. Create dinosaur projects at arts and crafts and settle back to enjoy the awesome movie “Jurassic Park “ featured on the big screen at the lodge.

July 30th – August 1st:  Luau Weekend!
Enjoy a tropical getaway this weekend with hula hoop contests, limbo competitions and Hawaiian arts and crafts to make.  Treat the family to a tropical feast for dinner and then hula down to the courtyard and meet the Hula dancer and DJ for dance lessons. 

August 6th – 8th:  Beat the heat Weekend!
Cool off this weekend with pool games, water balloon tosses and water gun fights. We’ll have a teen splash party at the outdoor pool and a water sprinkler to cool down the youngsters.  After a S’more’s roast at the lake head up to the courtyard for live entertainment!

August 13th – 15th:  Wild, Wild West Weekend!
Grab your partner and sashay down to the Mountain Top Lodge for country music presented by the “Sidekicks” Band.  Stop by Club Blazer to learn from Philbert the Squirrel how to plan a hiking and camping adventure responsibly.  Go on a scavenger hunt, join in for a root beer chug and gather around the campfire for a hot dog roast!

August 20th – 22nd:  It’s Casino Weekend!
Beat the odds at poker, blackjack, and roulette games this weekend!  Gamble the night away with TLN fun money and turn your winnings into great prizes!  Kids can get into the action at Club Blazer with their own card games for candy!

August 27th – 30th:  Pirates of the Pocono’s!
Children can enjoy a pirate party with treasure hunts, pirate face painting and pirate games!  Stop by the Mountain Top Lodge to watch a movie marathon of all three “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies!  Pretend you’re a pirate on the deep blue sea during a canoe race or play a game of mini golf with a pirate’s patch on your eye!

September 3rd – 6th:  Labor Day Festivities!
Let’s give the summer a big sendoff with softball games, pool games and many more family fun activities.  Enjoy our courtyard BBQ and welcome back “Hurricane” Wilson and his band who are ready to play up a storm for you.

September 10th – 12th:  Grandparents are the Best!
Pamper your Grandparents this weekend with a special “Grandparent’s Only” hour at the Water Park.  At arts and crafts you can choose a gift to make for them to show your love.  Sing them a special song at Karaoke and spend quality time with them at the lodge during our movie and popcorn night.

September 17th – 19th:  It’s your Birthday Weekend!
Let’s celebrate everyone’s birthday with cake, balloons, games and ice cream!  Kids will have a special party in Club Blazer playing musical chairs, relay races and balloon games.  Adults can party in the lodge with card games, twister and charades served with free coffee and cake!

September 24th – 26th:  Autumn is in the Air!
The Trail Blazer Team is ready this weekend to teach us how to protect our environment, make wise choices, safety rules and to discover fun things that happen at our campground!  We will have a fall scavenger hunt, nature walk, and gather around the campfire to roast marshmallows.

October 1st – 3rd:  Fall Film Fest!
Settle back for a fun movie fest this weekend!  Be a winner at movie trivia that will test your knowledge of the Hollywood flicks.  We’ll be showing movies that are oldies but goodies on the big screen with popcorn and hot cocoa!

October 8th – 10th:  Columbus Day Weekend!
He sailed the ocean blue in 1492… Children can learn about Columbus and his adventures in Club Blazer with coloring contests, word search, arts and crafts and puzzles.  “Fantasy Karaoke” will be entertaining us with singing and dancing at the lodge!

October 15th – 17th:  Indian Summer Weekend!
Come take advantage of our warm, sunny days and cool, crisp evenings.  Take a walk to the lake with our Club Blazer staff to roast some marshmallows.  Join in the fun making fall arts and crafts or try to win a race around the lazy river.  Sing some tunes at Karaoke on Saturday night.

October 22nd – 24th:  Spooktacular Countdown!
Let’s get in the mood for Halloween with pumpkin painting, spooky arts and crafts, and pin the nose on the pumpkin.  Break open the Halloween piñata with a witch’s broom! Scary movie night will be featured in the lodge on Saturday served with cookies and hot chocolate!

October 29th – 31st:  Haunted Mountain Top Mansion
Are you ready???  Spend Halloween weekend with us!  Kids will be trick or treating, competing in costume contests, going on hayrides and pumpkin painting.  We’ll be the judge on who decorates their sites the scariest!  Enter the Haunted Mountain Top Mansion (if you dare!) for a Halloween party complete with a DJ and hysterical games to play!
