Jan 19th National Popcorn Day Celebration
Join us in our South Clubhouse for free popcorn at 1pm.

Jan 21st National Squirrel Appreciation Day
Remembering our little members with a Squirrel Party at 2pm in our South Clubhouse. We will be serving Ice Cream and have extra fun making squirrel feeders with rather unique things.

Feb 5th  Super Bowl Sunday
Come watch the game and join in the Potluck fun. Cheer on your favorite team or commercial.

Feb 11th  Valentine Luncheon Party!
Calling everyone out to join us in the South Clubhouse for our Valentine Luncheon Party! Don’t have to have a Sweetie to come, just a great love of fun and laughs. Lunch will be served and it will be a Sweet Deal!

Feb 18th Presidents Day Party
…will bring in the fun at our South Clubhouse at 2pm. We’ll start will scooping up an American treat of Ice Cream and enjoy some games and fun with our Recreation Director.

Feb 24th- 26th The Wine & Seafood Festival in South Beach  
Lots of great wines and treats. We are only 5 minutes away. Reserve your stay this weekend so you don’t miss out on the fun. Plan on enjoying a full menu for Saturday breakfast.

March 17th St. Patty’s Day Luncheon!
Come enjoy our St. Patty’s Day Luncheon! Serving up some yummy Reuben sandwiches and extras. Who will find the Pot of Gold?

March 24-31 Spring Break
Spring Break Fun at Whalers Rest! This jam packed week will bring lots of fun memories for the young at heart!

March 24th
Start your Saturday with a great breakfast at the Whalers Galley. BBQ lunch will be served on the South Side and Dinner in the evening at Whalers Galley. You won’t have to worry about cooking and the kids will have a great time. Ongoing extra recreation activities will include Double Dare II Saturday night in our South Clubhouse at 7pm. Lot of crazy fun challenges with great door prizes.

March 27th
This Tuesday Night will be our Teen Night in the North Clubhouse. All teens 12 yrs – 21yrs join us at 7pm for all the great fun.

March 29th Kids Extreme Night
7 –11pm - Tonight will be a great time to drop the kids off as they enjoy a special night for crazy fun games and snacks. We’ll end the evening with a new release kid’s movie. Fear Factor II will be the party headed up by our crazy recreation director - don’t miss the memories! See ya there.

March 31st
Catch Breakfast in the North Clubhouse - we’ll offer a full menu of goodies. Plan on BBQ lunch at noon to get ya fueled up for our April Fools party in the South Clubhouse at 2pm. Along with our Ice Cream Social time we’ll offer a great party for all ages. Dinner will be served in the North Clubhouse and then following at 7pm well enjoy BINGO Fun in our North Clubhouse for all ages. Free fun with great prizes and lots of free popcorn!

April 7th Happy National Carmel Popcorn Day
Come help us celebrate at 1pm in our South Clubhouse with a free serving of Whalers Own Carmel Popcorn! Children’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 3pm. Meet in our South Clubhouse for the fun!

April 21st Earth Day Weekend
Whalers Rest celebrates Earth Day Weekend at 2pm in our South Clubhouse. Join us for Earth Day activities for all ages.

May 25th – 27th Salute American Heroes
Whalers Salute American Heroes will bring quite a kick off for our Memorial Day celebration. Join us Friday night with our group campfire fun. Saturday at 11:30am outside the South Clubhouse we will have a Memorial Day remembrance delivered by the Newport American Legion Post #116. Please come to show your American support. Following we will have BBQ lunch served and a Carnival for the kids. Dinner in our North Clubhouse at 5pm then we have Dr. Delusions Magic performing in our South Clubhouse at 7pm.

June 15th –17th A Wheely Good Time
…is our weekend theme at Whalers Rest. There will be pinewood derby car making classes offered. Head on over to the kitchen for dinner then don’t miss the Big race Saturday night at 7pm in our South Clubhouse. Come cheer for your favorite cars!

June 22nd – 24th Under the Sea
…will be bringing in waves of fun stuff. A sea creature hunt will begin on Friday with the end results Saturday evening at 6:30pm in our North Clubhouse. Then it’s Super Bunco Night at 7pm in our North Clubhouse. Fun for all ages.

June 28th Kids Extreme Play Night
Tonight is Kids Extreme Play Night at 7-11pm in our South Clubhouse. Sign up your kids for a jam-packed fun evening with games, swimming, snacks and a great movie. Adults you get tonight off.

June 29th – 31st Garage Sale Weekend
It’s Garage Sale Weekend at Whalers Rest ! Treasure hunters and sellers bring your wares to a fun-packed weekend at our park. We will be offering a sale for Friday and Saturday in our Tennis Court Area. Table fees are $7 each table each day. We will advertise in the local area paper to invite the public to attend. Join us for Dinner at 5pm in our North Clubhouse. Saturday’s evening entertainment will be the Wayne Graber Band at 7 pm in our South Clubhouse.

July 6th – 8th All That Sparkles
American Pride is our focus with All That Sparkles this weekend at Whalers Rest. We will have a site decorating contest that will run both Friday and Saturday. Winners will be announced at the American Bingo night in our North clubhouse at 7pm so bring your talents and fun as you decorate with pride.

July 13th – 15th Gold Rush
…celebration with lots of activities this weekend. Stake your claim and settle down to locate the gold nuggets at Whalers. Jump on the Wagon and take a trip to the old west! Spurs and gold pans welcome! Saturday Night will bring Super Bunco Fun in our North Clubhouse at 7pm.

July 20th – 22nd Cowboy Hoedown
Cowboy Hoedown weekend has arrived. Along with the local Sheriff ya better not poke around cause the Jail will be open. Then the dinner chuck wagon will be open for business with yummy BBQ fixins. Then Saturday night we’ll have hoedown music with the Bush Pilots in our South Clubhouse at 7pm.

July 27th – 29th  Whalers Salutes the Olympics
…with a big kick off this weekend. Friday night we’ll show all the highlights of the games! Go USA! Saturday night at 7pm in our South Clubhouse we will be hosting Whalers Olympic Game Night fun for all ages.

Aug 3rd- 5th British Invasion
Welcome the British Invasion at Whalers Rest! Join us this weekend at the Beatles Tournament with our Wii Guitars. Saturday Night at 7pm we will have Nehimeah Brown performing in the South Clubhouse.

Aug 10th – 12th DippIty-Do-Dah Weekend
It’s DippIty-Do-Dah Weekend at Whalers Rest. We’ll be dippin’ everything from wet swim suits to strawberries. Oh and the frozen chocolate bananas YUM! Then plan on dinner in our North Clubhouse at 5pm. Then stay on for our Saturday night Bunco Fun in our North Clubhouse at 7pm.

Aug 17th – 19th Watermelon Galore Festival
…is taking ground this weekend. Don’t be a melonhead and miss all the fun Saturday night at the Watermelon party it starts at 7pm in the South Clubhouse. Bring a melon carved for the watermelon carving contest too!

Aug 23rd Kids Extreme Play Night
Tonight is Kids Extreme Play Night at 7-11pm in our South Clubhouse. Sign up your kids for a jammed packed fun evening with games, swimming, snacks and a great movie. Adults you get tonight off.

Aug 24th – 26th Whalers Block Party
…weekend at the coast. It will be a fun weekend with a blow out of a BBQ with all the fixins. Tie-dye for the crazy at heart. Join in the music fun with Ron Diller as he performs in the South Clubhouse Saturday night at 7pm.

Aug 31- Sept 2nd The Dirty 30’s
Whalers remembers The Dirty 30’s this weekend from the Great Depression. Bring your treats for the Box Super and Pie Auctions. It will be fun to see who you end up meeting at the table. Wayne Graber Band will perform with great fiddling music in our South Clubhouse, Saturday night at 7pm.

Sept 7th – 9th Nifty 50’s
Get slicked back and ready for the Nifty 50’s at Whalers Rest this weekend. We will turn up the soda fountain and enjoy The Rockin’ 50’s Party at 2pm on Saturday in our South Clubhouse. Practice your hula hooping and yo-yoing to win it big.

Sept 14th – 16th Mexican Independence Day
Viva Mexico as Whalers Rest celebrated Mexican Independence Day with a party and lunch. The Fiesta will be held in the South Clubhouse at noon with great food and games.

Sept 21st – 23rd Down on the Farm
Simply we are “Down on the Farm” this weekend. Get ready to practice with ol’ Betsey for the milking contest or cow patty contest. Bring your best partner to the fun at the South Clubhouse Saturday at 2pm. Y’all come now!

Sept 28th – 30th NASCAR Weekend
Rev up your motors for NASCAR Weekend at Whalers Rest. We will get the pits ready for a great time at the track. NASCAR Party will be held at 2pm in the South Clubhouse on Saturday.

Oct 5th- 7th Oktoberfest
Everyone is German this weekend at Whalers Rest’s Oktoberfest. We will have pretzel making, beer tasting, and yummy snacks. Don’t forget your mug and join our Drink Drop Game!
